Implementation of projects by an Operations Research Scientist (ORS) at The Logic Factory are a high-pressure fast-paced challenge. Your profile

Job Responsibilities:

• Be an expert in optimization techniques in operations research and artificial intelligence;
• Apply these techniques to design optimization solutions and analyze existing solutions
• Coach and spar with other Operations Research Scientists (ORS)s about the design, implementation, testing, and debugging of optimizers:
• Assist Industry Process Consultants in designing planning solutions that incorporate optimization.
• Design and conduct experiments with different optimization approaches for industry problems solved by The Logic Factory.
• Participate in optimization implementation process improvements.
• Create knowledge and e-learning products for optimization.

Job Requirements:
 

• Knowledge of optimization techniques in operations research and artificial intelligence (linear programming, genetic algorithms, heuristic search techniques, constraint programming, etc.);
• Proven track record for being able to apply optimization techniques in one or more domains such as vehicle routing, crew planning, and manufacturing;
• Academic level in computer science, operations research, econometrics, artificial intelligence, or similar.
• High abstraction level and analytic ability.
• Strong communication skills, especially in an environment of top professionals.
• Energetic and flexible personality who can get work done.
• Ability to understand the business problem and convert it as a mathematical problem is preferred. Exposure to Optimization & statistical software like Cplex, Gurobi, Google OR tool, Arena, SAS, and SPSS is preferred.
• Should have a scientific mindset and interest in Operation Research algorithms like routing optimization, mathematical modeling, meta-heuristics, heuristics, forecasting, simulation model, inventory optimization, and supply chain management.
• Should have effective Client Management skills.
• Programming experience in Python/Java/C#/ C++/R of the optimization algorithm is preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex problems into actionable insights.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience managing or contributing to research projects in a fast-paced environment.
